According to a May 21 article in the Pittsburgh Business Times, industry leaders at the Appalachian AI Energy Conference highlighted the region’s abundant natural gas, existing pipeline infrastructure, and proximity to major tech hubs as strategic advantages. These factors position the Greater Pittsburgh region to become a central player in the energy supply chain for AI development.
The conference also addressed the long-term energy outlook, including the potential role of nuclear power in sustaining the significant and growing electricity demands of AGI.
